John Haynes, PE has extensive work experience in the mining industry. John began their career at the Washington Division of URS as a Mine Operations Engineer from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Mining Engineer at QuadraFNX Mining Ltd. At KGHM International, John held various roles, including Manager, Technical Services, from 2011 to 2015, where they successfully implemented mine operating plans and achieved production and cost objectives. John then served as the Manager of Operational Excellence from 2015 to 2016, leading the design and implementation of KGHM's Management Operating System. From 2016 to 2020, they were the Head of Development and Technical Services, and since 2020, they have held the position of Head of Operations & Development. In these roles, they have been responsible for leading assets and business units, ensuring operational efficiency, sustainable growth, and strategic alignment.
John Haynes, PE attended the Colorado School of Mines from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mining Engineering. In 2013 to 2015, they completed an Executive Leadership Certification at IMD. Additionally, they received the MSHA Approved Surface Instructor certification from the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) in November 2011. John also became a Registered Professional Engineer in Mining through the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration in April 2011.
