Doug Symalla

Doug Symalla has over 17 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations. Doug is currently working at KGPCo as the Sr. Director, leading the IT transformation and cloud migration initiatives. Prior to this, Doug worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co. for 5 years as part of the Global Engineering team, where they were recognized for consistently delivering results and leading a team of Architects and Engineers. Doug also worked at Virteva as the Practice Lead for Microsoft Server and Directory Services, managing a team of 14 employees and 6 consultants. Additionally, Doug has experience as an Independent Consultant at Symalla Consulting, LLC, leading IT separation projects and cloud migration projects. Doug started their career at Microsoft as a Senior Premier Field Engineer, where they co-founded the AskPFEPlat blog.

Doug Symalla holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Saint John's University. Doug also has a Master of Science degree in Development Management from American University. Additionally, Doug has obtained various certifications including ITIL Foundation, MCITP - Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008, MCSA - Windows Server 2012, MCSE Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, and Train the Trainer.
