Tahir Iqbal

Tahir Iqbal has extensive work experience in various finance and management roles. Tahir started their career at Rahman Sarfaraz Rahim Iqbal Rafiq Chartered Accountant in 2001, where they went from being a supervisor to a manager in audit, assurance, and business advisory. Tahir then joined ARIF HABIB CORPORATION LIMITED in 2005, initially as the Chief/Head of Internal Audit, and later as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Company Secretary. During their tenure at ARIF HABIB CORPORATION LIMITED, they were responsible for overseeing the financial and corporate aspects of the company. In 2011, Tahir Iqbal joined Aisha Steel Mills Limited as the CFO and Company Secretary, where they played a significant role in the expansion and growth of the company. Tahir then joined Power Cement Limited in 2014 as the CFO and Company Secretary, where they remained until 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Group Chief Financial Officer at Khaadi.

Tahir Iqbal's education history begins with their matriculation in science from Jufulhurst Higher Secondary School Karachi, which they completed from 1981 to 1990. Following this, they pursued a FSc (Intermediate) degree in Science Pre-Engineering from Government National College Karachi, studying from 1991 to 1993. Tahir then went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, General from the same college, completing their studies from 1994 to 1997.

Additionally, Tahir attained an Associate's degree in Chartered Management Accountant from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan) between 1998 and 2004. Tahir further enhanced their professional qualifications by becoming a Fellow Member of ICMA Pakistan, specializing in Chartered Management Accountancy from 2014 to 2022.

Seeking to broaden their expertise, Tahir pursued a Fellow Member - Certified Financial Consultant designation from the Institute of Financial Consultants (ifc - USA & Canada) in 2022, specializing in Financial Consulting.
