Brian Carter

Brian Carter currently serves as Principal, Strategic Partnerships at Khan Academy, a position held since June 2022, after previously working as Strategic Partnerships Lead. Prior experience includes roles as an Educator at The Walker School, Program Officer at the Overdeck Family Foundation, and Executive Director at CCS Fundraising, where Brian specialized in strategic management consulting and fundraising campaigns. Earlier expertise was gained as a Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State and an ACS Legislative Fellow for the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. Initial career steps included serving as Science Faculty at Bard High School Early College and as a Chemistry Instructor at Cesar Chavez Public Charter School. Brian holds a PhD in Chemistry from Columbia University and a BS in Mathematics and Chemistry from The University of Georgia.
