Nigel G. Kooreman, MD, PhD has a diverse work experience. Nigel G. began their career in 2007 as an Organ Allocation Officer at Eurotransplant International Foundation. In 2008, they became a Medical Internship and Student Researcher at Leiden University Medical Center. In 2009, they were a Visiting Researcher at Stanford University School of Medicine. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Teaching Assistant at Stanford University. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Leiden University Medical Center as a Surgery Resident, Surgical Oncologist, and Research Fellow. In 2019, they joined Khloris Biosciences as an Associate Medical Director and Consultant. In 2021, they became a Principal Investigator at Green Light Leiden.
Nigel G. Kooreman, MD, PhD obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Leiden University between 2004 and 2012. Nigel G. then went on to pursue a Master's Degree from Leiden University, which they completed in 2011. Nigel G. later returned to Leiden University to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Stem Cell Biology and Immunology, which they completed in 2020. Prior to their university studies, Nigel attended Stedelijk Gymnasium Leiden, where they obtained their High School diploma in 2004.
