Guoning Hu

Guoning Hu has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Research Associate at The Ohio State University, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, where they focused on research activities. In 2006, they transitioned to the industry as a Research Scientist at SMobile Systems. Guoning then joined AOL in 2007 and held roles as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Technical Manager for Software Development. In 2011, they joined DNAnexus as a Senior Software Engineer, where they built a platform for managing and analyzing DNA sequencing data. Subsequently, in 2012, they worked at Bonobos as a Sr. Software Engineer, developing algorithms for personalized product sorting and recommendation. In 2013, they joined Attune Inc. as a Senior Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer, where they led the development of a platform for optimizing catalog items and marketing content. Most recently, they worked at Lithium Technologies as a Principal Research Engineer, leveraging their research skills to contribute to the company.

Guoning Hu received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Nanjing University in 1996. Guoning then pursued a Master of Science degree in Physics from the same institution from 1996 to 1999. Later, Guoning Hu attended The Ohio State University, where they completed a Ph.D. in Biophysics from 1999 to 2006.
