Alex Morgan

Principal at Khosla Ventures

Alex Morgan is the current Principal at Khosla Ventures, a position they have held since March of 2015. Prior to that, they were the Scientist in Residence at Khosla Ventures from April of 2016 until March of 2015. Before that, Alex Morgan was an Advisory Board Member and Consultant on product development at DigiSight Technologies, Inc. from August of 2014 until March of 2015 where they developed a mobile based functional eye test using VR/AR tools, performed a small clinical trial at Palo Alto VA ophthalmology clinic, and licensed the technology to DigiSight (now Verana).

Before their work at DigiSight Technologies, Inc., Alex Morgan was a Consultant on bioinformatics and genomic medicine at Personalis from July of 2012 until August of 2013 where they wrote R & Python code. Prior to their work at Personalis, Alex Morgan was the Co-Founder & Chief Scientist at Stimulomics from April of 2009 until April of 2011. After Stimulomics, Alex Morgan became a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford Biochemistry & Genome Technology Center from September of 2011 until September of 2012. Before their work in the private sector, Alex Morgan was a Teaching Assistant for Biomedical Informatics at Stanford University from April of 2008 until June of 2008.

Alex Morgan has a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Brandeis University, a Master of Science in Biology from Tufts University, a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University, and a Doctor of Medicine from Stanford University School of Medicine. Alex also has postdoctoral training in biochemistry from Stanford University School of Medicine.

Their manager is Vinod Khosla, Founder & Partner. They work with Samir Kaul - General Partner, Catherine Casuga - Operating Partner, and Vijit Sabnis - Venture Partner.
