M. K. Sudarshan

Dr M.K. Sudarshan is currently the Chairman, Karnataka Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee of Government of Karnataka & Retd. Dean/Principal and Professor & HOD of Community Medicine, Kempegowda Institute of Medial Sciences, Bangalore. Dr Sudarshan is a medical doctor with a rich experience of about 44 years as a teacher, consultant and principal investigator. He has participated in various national and international level events and has evaluated and reviewed multiple reports, surveys, etc. for the World Bank, UNICEF, World Health Organization, Public Health Foundation of India, and other leading organizations in the health sector. He also has the experience of various administrative roles in different capacities like Founder Secretary, Karnataka Association of Community Health; Founder Managing Editor, Indian Journal of Community Health; Programme-in-Charge of PGDMCH Programme of IGNOU, Delhi; Founder President, Association for Prevention and Control of Rabies in India; Chief Editor, RGUHS National Journal of Public Health, RGUHS, Bangalore; Member, Editorial Board, Global Health Journal, WHO, Geneva, Switzerland and Chairman, Institutional Ethics Committee, Indian Institute of Public Health, Public Health Foundation of India, Bangalore. Adding to this, he has several scientific publications to his credit. Dr Sudarshan has done MBBS from KMC, Hubli, Karnataka University and MD (P&SM) from, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
