Samuel Bates is a principal scientist specializing in biomass conversion technologies at Ki Hydrogen. They have previously served as a senior scientist at Ki Hydrogen and a research scientist at the National Physical Laboratory from 2022 to 2024. Samuel completed their PhD in Chemistry - Catalysis at Cardiff University from 2018 to 2022, where they also earned a Master’s degree with distinction in Catalysis. Additionally, they obtained an integrated master’s degree in Chemistry with first-class honors from the University of Bristol between 2013 and 2017.
