Ben Postance

Ben Postance is an accomplished professional in the field of data science and geosciences with extensive experience across various roles. Currently serving as Data Science Manager at Ki Insurance since December 2022, Ben has previously held positions such as Lead Data Scientist and Data Scientist at Beazley, where responsibilities included risk pricing and selection through advanced analytical techniques. Prior experience includes research and teaching roles at Loughborough University, focusing on the economic impacts of weather-driven natural hazards, and earlier positions as a Data Consultant and Geospatial Data Analyst. Ben holds a PhD in Geological and Earth Sciences from Loughborough University, as well as a BSc in Geography & Natural Hazards from Coventry University and a Bachelor's in Geophysics & Geology from Háskóli Íslands.
