Kibo Connect
Peter Downes is the founder of Kibo Connect, established in 2008 to provide ISP-related services to the SME market, initially focusing on reselling xDSL, web, and mail services. Additionally, Peter founded 4th Dimension Technology (4DT) in 2004 as an IT outsourcing business targeting SMEs in the Western Cape, which has since expanded to serve hundreds of businesses across South Africa. From 2011 to November 2014, Peter served as Chief Technical Officer for Hymax, where 4DT designed and built a national carrier platform in response to the deregulation of the voice industry in South Africa. Peter holds a Diploma in Oceanography from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, with prior education at the University of Cape Town.
