Desmond Sagwe

Desmond Sagwe has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Desmond began their career as an Information Technology Intern at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection in 2014, where they provided technical support, troubleshooted problems, and performed minor repairs on equipment.

In 2015, Desmond worked as a Service Desk Analyst at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Services Institute. Desmond assisted over 500 users with IT system issues, achieving a high customer satisfaction rating and resolving technical problems in a timely manner.

Later in 2015, Desmond joined Family Bank Ltd as an IT Support Specialist. In this role, they provided technical support to over 1000 staff members, developed technical documentation, and implemented support processes to improve efficiency.

In 2016, Desmond worked as an IT Consultant at Josiah, Salah & Associates. Desmond assessed client technical needs, resolved complex technical problems, and provided on-site and remote support to maintain high client productivity levels.

Desmond's most recent position was at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). Desmond started as a System Administrator in 2017 and was later promoted to Senior System Analyst in 2021. In these roles, Desmond developed technical requirements, created custom software solutions, conducted research on IT industry trends, and provided technical support for various hardware and software systems.

Desmond Sagwe pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Informatics from Strathmore University, which they completed between the years 2011 and 2015. During the same period, they also obtained a Diploma in Business Information Technology from Strathmore University.

Later, Desmond went on to enroll in the University of Nairobi, where they are currently studying for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Management Information Systems. This program started in 2019 and is expected to end in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Desmond obtained the International Computer Drivers License - Level One (ICDL) certification from ICDL Africa in September 2015.
