Oriana Leckert

Oriana Leckert has a diverse work experience in the fields of publishing, journalism, and creative content. Oriana is currently the Director of Publishing & Comics Outreach at Kickstarter, where they started in December 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Journalism Outreach Lead at Kickstarter from November 2018 to May 2020, where they provided strategic consulting and research to creators, resulting in a high success rate of project funding.

Before their time at Kickstarter, Oriana served as the Creative Content Director at Shed Brand Innovation from September 2017 to October 2018. Oriana also worked as a Copyeditor at MTV and an Editor at Large at Hyperallergic.

Oriana's experience in publishing includes roles such as Editorial, Publishing, and Fundraising Consultant at Mirific Editorial Services, Director of Operations at Gotham Ghostwriters, Assistant Editor at Stonesong Press, and Assistant Editor at Random House, Inc.

In addition to their publishing work, Oriana has also worked as a Cultural Journalist, writing for various publications such as Vice, Slate, and Gothamist.

Throughout their career, Oriana has demonstrated their expertise in writing, editing, fundraising, and strategic consulting, contributing to the success of various organizations and projects.

From 1997 to 2000, Oriana Leckert attended Rutgers University where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in English/Writing.
