Heath Manley has served in various roles throughout their work experience. Heath started their career in 2003 as a Security Officer-Supervisor at Northwest Protective Service, where they worked until 2008. In 2008, they joined Wright Runstad & Company as a Utility Tech-Junior Engineer-Building Engineer and stayed with the company until 2014. Since 2014, they have been working at Kidder Mathews, initially as a Building Engineer II until 2017, then as an Assistant Chief Engineer until 2020, and currently holds the position of Chief Engineer.

Heath Manley attended Devry University from 2003 to 2006, where they studied Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Heath then enrolled in Tacoma Community College for an unspecified period, focusing on Business Administration and Management, General. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Universal EPA certification from the United States Environmental Protection Agency in October 2009. In October 2011, they received the EL 07 Maintenance Electrician certification from the State of Washington. The City of Seattle awarded him the City of Seattle Refrigeration Operating Engineer A certification in August 2012 and the Boiler Fireman Grade 4 certification in September 2013. Lastly, in April 2017, they obtained the BOC Level 2 certification from the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council.
