Ashley Apple, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, CEN, is an accomplished nursing professional with extensive experience in both clinical practice and education. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Nursing Instructor at the University of Virginia since September 2021, Ashley also holds the position of Commissioner on Government Relations with the Virginia Nurses Association. In addition, Ashley has been a Family Nurse Practitioner at KidMed - Pediatric Urgent Care since August 2020 and previously served as an Adjunct Instructor at Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing. With a foundation in emergency nursing and advocacy through the Virginia Nurse Advocate Health Policy Fellowship, Ashley has dedicated over a decade to the Bon Secours Health System. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Master’s of Science in Nursing, and a Bachelor's degree in Science in Nursing, all obtained from the University of Virginia, alongside a diploma in Registered Nursing from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing.
