James Borthwick

James Borthwick started their work experience in 2004 as a Software Developer at Weir Motion Metrics, where they designed and implemented computer vision software for determining ore fragmentation in surface mines. James worked with C/C++ and also traveled to meet clients in Canada and the United States.

In 2009, they worked as a Contract Software Developer at Mirametrix Inc., where they focused on improving the performance of eye-gaze tracking algorithms and created a web application using PHP/MySQL.

From 2010 to 2022, James worked at Apryse as an iOS Team Lead and Software Developer. James was the founding developer of Apyrse's iOS SDK sold to enterprise customers and developed and published the PDF app "Xodo" to the App Store. James also created the first version of the iOS SDK for PDFTron and wrote a web-based PDF reader using C#.

Currently, starting in 2023, James is an iOS Developer at Kidoodle.TV®, although no end date is provided in the information.

James Borthwick obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Physics (Double Major) from The University of British Columbia. James completed this degree between 1998 and 2003. Later on, James pursued higher education and earned a Master of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia. This degree was completed between 2006 and 2009.
