Volunteer Crisis Responder | Overnight Crisis Intervention at Kids Help Phone

Rockcelle Oquendo is an undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Physiology at Simon Fraser University, with an expected graduation in 2027. Currently, Rockcelle serves as a Research Assistant at SFU's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and holds multiple volunteer roles, including Child Life Volunteer at BC Children's Hospital and Volunteer Crisis Responder for Kids Help Phone. Rockcelle's dedication to community service is further demonstrated through positions such as Vice-President of Finance for Students 4 Equitable Education and Service Coordinator for the Programming Committee of the Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity. With a strong focus on supporting pediatric health issues, Rockcelle also contributes as a Brand Ambassador for Aspiring Pediatricians and previously led marketing efforts for the Canadian Cancer Society at SFU.
