Suhaill Ruano is an experienced professional with a diverse background in various industries. Starting in 2001, they began their career as a Social Work Intern and later took on roles as an International/Domestic Adoption Specialist and an Intensive Crisis Counseling Program Therapist at Children's Home Society of Florida. Suhaill then worked as a Task Supervisor/Adoption Specialist at Kids In Distress (KID) before returning to Children's Home Society of Florida as a Program Supervisor II and eventually as a Program Director. In 2013, Suhaill worked as a Latin Heat Fitness Instructor at LA Fitness. Suhaill then transitioned to the nonprofit sector, joining the National MS Society as a Program Director in the South Florida Chapter and later as an Associate Vice President of Programs and Services. Suhaill also served as a Global Program Director at the National MS Society, driving fundraising campaigns and managing program budgets. Suhaill has experience in artist relations and marketing, having worked as a Global/Latin America Artist Relations at Land of Cr8shon Music and as a Global Marketing Director/Artist Relations at Plum House Miami Recording Studio. In 2022, they took on the role of Global Partnership Engagement Manager at HACE, where they sourced and secured support from corporate sponsors for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. Currently, Suhaill is the Vice President of Advancement at Kids In Distress (KID). Alongside their professional roles, they also run their own business, ConversationswithSu LLC, where they serve as a Content Creator/Leadership Consultant, utilizing their skills in multitasking, adaptability, and content creation.

Suhaill Ruano completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Florida State University in 1999. Suhaill continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science degree in Social Work in 2001.
