Wendy S. Martinez Hurtado

Wendy S. Martinez Hurtado is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in advocacy and community engagement focused on immigrant rights and social justice. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), Wendy draws upon previous roles, including a Summer Legal Intern at Fair Work Center, where responsibilities included worker intake and counseling. Wendy also made significant contributions as WA State DACA Program Manager at 21 Progress, enhancing program participation and managing a micro lending program that supported over 400 undocumented youth. Other positions include Director of Youth Ministry at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Latino Community Outreach Coordinator at Care Partners Hospice, emphasizing bilingual education and community partnership.
