Karen Seddon

Karen Seddon is a seasoned Compliance and Risk Manager with extensive experience in early years education, having worked at Kids Planet Day Nurseries since January 2020 and previously at Kids Allowed Ltd from March 2016 to January 2020. A former PhD candidate at The University of Manchester, Karen was recognized as a President's Doctoral Scholar and utilized a fact-based approach to self-ownership. Educational qualifications include a First Class Honours LLB from The University of Manchester and an MA with Distinction from Keele University, where Karen also received the Patrick Thornberry prize for the best dissertation. Additionally, Karen has a robust background in nursing, serving as a Senior Staff Nurse at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and as a tutor at Stockport College, where teaching included nurse-related vocational subjects and development of online course materials.
