Emily L. Crisler

Emily L. Crisler is an experienced legal professional currently serving as General Counsel for the Department of Local Government Finance since November 2020, following a tenure as Deputy General Counsel from July 2018 to November 2020. Alongside this role, Emily has been a Guardian Ad Litem with Kids' Voice of Indiana since May 2016, representing children in legal matters such as paternity, divorce, guardianship, and adoption. Previous legal experience includes serving as Deputy Attorney General at the Office of the Indiana Attorney General from November 2012 to July 2018 and various legal support roles in firms and legal aid organizations. Emily holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Butler University.
