Remco Bakker

Remco Bakker has a diverse range of work experience in the field of design. Remco started their career at InToto BV as a Jr. Art Director, where they focused on branding and web design. Remco then worked as an Art Director at Carmichael & Pilarzcyk, where they developed television shows and created new brands. After that, Remco joined P'zaz Amsterdam as an Art Director, creating online and offline materials for various clients. Remco then took a break from agency work and worked as a Senior Designer at YD Group B.V., focusing on UX and UI design for their main software. Following this, Remco worked as a Teaching Design Thinking at Windesheim, where they conducted workshops and lectured on design thinking. Remco then joined Elements as a Creative Lead, responsible for the design team and driving business growth. During their time at Elements, they also worked on the development of Easygrow.io, a concept for FloriadeWerkt! Remco later joined MakerStreet as a Senior Product Designer, working on the redesign of a digital self sovereign identity wallet app. Most recently, Remco has been appointed as the Head of Design at KidsKonnect.

Remco Bakker completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Communication and Multimedia Design from LOI University of Applied Science in 2018. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2006, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht). In addition, they have several certifications in various areas of web development and programming from lynda.com, including CSS: Flexbox First Look, JavaScript and AJAX, JavaScript and JSON, JavaScript: Enhancing the DOM, and Up and Running with AngularJS.
