Robert A. Patterson Jr.

Bob Patterson Jr. remembers the day in 1998 when he joined J.F. Kiely Construction Co. as Sr. Vice President of Administration, calling it one of the greatest moments and best moves of his career. He had previously worked at New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) for 15 years and was always impressed by the Kiely family’s integrity, reputation, and relationships. In 2010, he became President of J.F. Kiely Service Co.; and in 2018, Sr. Vice President – Utility Services for the Kiely Family of Companies.

Applying more than 35 years of natural gas infrastructure, utility construction, engineering, operations, and administration experience, Bob helped to establish the Kiely Engineering business unit. He played large roles in bringing on Kiely’s first utility construction customer outside of New Jersey, opening Kiely’s Pennsylvania construction office, and developing Kiely’s fleet management program.

Bob’s position entails daily, direct contact with natural gas customers and alliance partners while providing Kiely’s Gas Operations Group with a clear understanding of scopes, costs, and responsibilities. He also oversees the Estimating, Safety/Training, and Fleet Services departments.
