Paul Thornton

Paul Thornton has extensive work experience in talent acquisition and recruitment. Paul is currently working as the Talent Acquisition Director at Kier Group, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Talent Acquisition at Kier Group from May 2019 to November 2021. Before joining Kier Group, Paul worked as the Recruitment and Employer Brand Manager at Anglian Water Services from January 2015 to May 2019, where they were responsible for developing and delivering the talent attraction and employer branding strategy. Paul also worked as the Resourcing Manager at Royal Mencap Society from October 2012 to January 2015, leading the recruitment and talent attraction strategy. Paul has also held positions as an HR & Recruitment Manager and HR Officer at MMUK from September 2006 to October 2012, and as a Senior Recruitment Advisor at Cambridgeshire County Council from September 2004 to September 2006. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Team Leader at Saxby's in 2004 and as a Personnel Assistant at Manor Bakeries from September 2002 to September 2003. Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated a strong focus on talent acquisition and strategic recruitment planning.

Paul Thornton attended Hinchingbrooke School from 1998 to 2000 where they studied GNVQ Advanced Business Studies. Paul then went on to Staffordshire University and pursued a BSc HR Management from 2000 to 2004, specializing in Human Resources.
