Art Hortua

Art Hortua is an experienced engineering professional with over two decades in the structural engineering field. Currently serving as the Chief Engineer for Buildings & Vertical Structures at Kiewit since April 2012, Art has held various leadership roles, including Principal Engineer and Director in the Structural Department. Previous roles include Manager of Structural Engineering and Assistant Department Manager at Kiewit. Before Kiewit, Art worked at Thornton Tomasetti as an Associate and held engineering positions at the US Army Corps of Engineers, Martin/Martin, Inc., and Black & Veatch Corporation. Art holds a Master of Civil Engineering in Structural Engineering from The University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University.
