Jacob Barna

Jacob Barna is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in developing and maintaining software solutions across various companies. Currently serving as a Lead Software Engineer at Kiewit since March 2023, Jacob previously held the position of Senior Software Developer at Pape Ventures, where responsibilities included enhancing a SaaS product using Vue, PHP, and MySQL. Jacob's earlier tenure at Kiewit involved roles as both Lead and Senior Software Engineer, focusing on Angular UI, unit testing with Jest, and API development using C#, EF Core, and ASP.NET Core. Prior experience includes a role as Software Developer II at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska, where .NET/C# development with Entity Framework, WCF, and SQL Server was key, as well as ETL development at Werner Enterprises. Jacob Barna holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
