Larry Lavender

Larry Lavender is a seasoned program manager and systems engineer with extensive experience across various sectors, including defense, sports broadcasting, and technology. Currently serving as Staff Program Manager at KIHOMAC since October 2013, Larry manages proof of concept efforts to migrate legacy systems on the A-10 aircraft to software-based solutions using the FACE standard. Prior roles include providing system engineering and project management consulting as an independent contractor, serving as a Senior Emerging Technology Engineer at ESPN, and functioning as Chief Engineer at Vistas Unlimited, where Larry focused on real-time virtual graphics for live sports. Earlier career highlights include managing passport system implementation for the government of Argentina at Raytheon and developing virtual graphics systems at Mirage Systems. Larry's foundational experience includes service as an Electronic Technician in the United States Air Force and a solid educational background in electrical engineering from The University of Alabama.
