Julian Bacon has worked in various roles in the tech industry since 2012. In 2012, they were a Laboratory Assistant at Nion Company. From 2015 to 2016, they were an Undergraduate Researcher-Zettl Group at the UC Berkeley Department of Physics. From 2016 to 2017, they were an Undergraduate Researcher-Computational Modeling at the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Lab (RAEL)-UC Berkeley, where they built Python-based linear programming models to optimize power production in Southeast Asia. In 2017, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at the Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience, where they worked with research scientist Saeed Saremi on open-ended problems involving artificial intelligence and machine learning. Also in 2017, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Amazon, where they worked on the Ground Truth Assimilation team. From 2018 to 2021, they were a Software Engineer at Lime. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Kikoff.

Julian Bacon attended Inglemoor High School from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a High School degree. From 2014 to 2018, they attended the University of California, Berkeley, studying Physics and Computer Science.
