Eoghan Ryan

Eoghan Ryan is an experienced professional in planning and strategic development, currently serving as the Director of Planning and Strategic Development at Kildare County Council since October 2019. Eoghan oversees the proper planning and sustainable development of Kildare County, managing three key teams focused on forward planning, development management, and strategic projects. Prior to this role, Eoghan held significant positions including Divisional Manager at the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection, where responsibility encompassed the strategic management of divisional activities across multiple counties, and Principal Officer in the Facilities Management Unit of the Department of Social Protection. Additionally, Eoghan served as a Senior Adviser at the Department of the Environment, managing unfinished housing developments, and Head of Planning and Urban Design at the National Building Agency Ltd., leading various planning consultancy projects.
