Dan Registad

Dan Reigstad serves as Deputy Director at East Texas Police Academy since February 2017, where administrative tasks and teaching in crime scene, forensic, and fingerprint courses are primary responsibilities. Instructing a Palm Print Identification course with Texas Forensic Associates since January 2015, Dan also teaches various topics at Kilgore College, alongside roles as an IAI Certified Latent Print Examiner through Reigstad Forensic Fingerprints Consulting & Training since April 2010. Dan holds certifications as an Advanced Instructor and Firearms Instructor with TCOLE and has previously served as a Registered Fellow of The Fingerprint Society and as Chairman of the Latent Print Certification Committee for the Texas Division of the International Association for Identification. Dan's experience includes positions with Texas DPS, Longview Police Crime Lab, and service in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant. Education includes ongoing studies at the University of Texas at Tyler and Kilgore College since 2014.
