Stacie Smith

Stacie Smith is an accomplished academic and professional in the fields of accounting and information management, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Accounting at Kilgore College since August 2019. Smith's teaching career has included various adjunct and faculty positions at institutions such as Panola College, Texas State Technical College, Sam Houston State University, and the Dallas County Community College District, where courses ranged from accounting to computer applications. Furthermore, Smith has extensive experience as the Owner of Automated Business Solutions, providing information management consulting services for over three decades. Stacie Smith also has a strong background in auditing, having held positions at Ernst & Young, Enserch Corporation, and Zale Jewelers, developing expertise in financial systems and COBOL programming. The educational background includes a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Science in Business Computing Science from Texas A&M University, complemented by doctoral studies in Information Systems at the University of North Texas.
