Kerr Petrie has a background in chemical engineering and has held various roles in the distilling and pharmaceutical industries. Kerr has experience as a Distillery Manager, Head Distiller, Production Supervisor, Chemical and Process Engineer, and Production Operator. Kerr has also worked as a bartender in several establishments in Cork city. Kerr attended The University of Edinburgh where Kerr obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering.
