Douglas Boos

Douglas Boos is an experienced professional in the welding industry, currently serving as a Level 2 and Level 1 Welding Inspector at CIMS Limited Partnership since July 2011, where responsibilities include complete inspection management and adherence to various welding codes such as CSA Standard W47.1, CSA Standard W59, and ASME B31. Additionally, Douglas has been with Killick Group since March 2015 as a Level 2 Welding Inspector on a contract basis, focusing on surveillance and report review for clients like Suncor. At Saskatchewan Polytechnic since May 2000, Douglas holds the position of Program Head at the Regina Campus, overseeing budget forecasting, recruitment, purchasing, and curriculum development for welding programs, including Certificate Welding, Apprenticeship Welding, and Applied-Certificate Welding. Educational qualifications include an International Welding Specialist degree from the Canadian Welding Bureau, Journeyperson - Red Seal in Welding Technology/Welder, and Steel Fabricator fields from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, as well as a Diploma in Offshore Oilfield Diving from The Ocean Corporation.
