Arian Lewis

Co-Founder & CEO at Kiln

Arian Lewis is currently the co-founder and CEO of Kiln. Prior to that, they were the head of business development for Tekcapital plc from August 2012 to May 2013. From April 2013 to October 2017, Arian was the Director of Open Innovation at Barclays. In this role, they led the creation of a global innovation arm for Barclays called Rise. Rise is the world's largest community of fintech startups who are working together to create the future of financial services. The community is comprised of more than 100,000+ registered individuals and our physical sites are home to more than 250 fintech startups. We bring together top firms and founders to create new products and services that solve challenges in financial services or exploit new market opportunities. Project to date we have executed 90+ agreements between Barclays and startups (seed to series A). We have also delivered 200+ prototypes with close to 50% built on Barclays APIs. We have developed co-working sites in London, New York, Tel Aviv, Manchester, Cape Town, Vilnius and Mumbai. Including the largest fintech site in Europe which opened in May (2017) in London. Our aim is to create the worlds best community for growing fintech companies.

Arian Lewis completed their MBA at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, with a focus on strategy and innovation. Arian also holds a BA in international studies from Brigham Young University, with a minor in business. In addition, Arian has completed executive education courses in real estate finance at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
