Richard MacIas

Richard Macias has over 15 years of experience in engineering roles. Richard served as the Chief Engineer at Kilroy Realty Corporation since 2009, responsible for overseeing building operations. Prior to that, they worked as a Building Engineer at Able Engineering from 2005 to 2008. Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated expertise in managing building systems and ensuring their efficient operation.

Richard Macias has a diverse education history. In 1991, they completed their high school studies at Calipatria High School, obtaining their H.S. Diploma. Richard then pursued a degree in Electronics Engineering at San Joaquin Valley College-Fresno in 2000.

Macias furthered their education in the field of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) by attending San Diego City College in 2009. Richard completed a program focused on HVAC/R and Controls.

In 2013, Macias enrolled at UC San Diego, where they participated in a specialized certificate program for HVAC Systems Design & Control. The program lasted for two years, ending in 2015.

Macias also obtained additional certifications to enhance their expertise. In 2009, they achieved the EPA Universal Certification in HVAC/R from the US Environmental Protection Agency. Richard also became a Certified Building Operator, Level I & II, through the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council in 2012.
