Sam Sink is a Transit Project Manager at Kimley-Horn since August 2023, previously serving as the Director of Planning & Scheduling at GRTC Transit System from January 2022 to July 2023, where management of planning, engineering, and capital improvement programs was a key responsibility. Prior to that, Sam held the position of Director of Transit Development at Hampton Roads Transit from January 2012 to January 2022, overseeing multimodal transit service planning and project management, as well as coordinating with various government entities for Federal Transit Administration funding. Earlier career roles included Principal Transit Planner, Transit Development Planner, and Data Analyst. The academic background includes a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from The University of Kansas and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of South Carolina.
