Brian Pogrund

Brian Pogrund has held various roles and positions throughout their work experience. Brian is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Kin Insurance, a position they began in January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the VP of Operations at Kin Insurance from August 2020 until January 2022.

Brian's previous experience includes working at Getaround, where they held multiple roles. Brian served as the Director of Markets, North America from November 2018 to August 2020, overseeing the P&L and OKRs of the US business and managing a team of over 200 employees. Brian also held the role of Regional General Manager for the Midwest and West Coast from December 2017 to November 2018, and as General Manager for Chicago from April 2016 to December 2017.

Before their time at Getaround, Brian worked at Whittl, where they were the Director of Operations from October 2014 to April 2016. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing customer service and operations, as well as leading the expansion of the company to new cities. Brian also briefly held the position of Account Executive and Operations at Whittl from April 2014 to October 2014.

Brian's earlier experience includes working as an Online Sales Executive at Grubhub from March 2013 to April 2014, and as a Marketing Specialist at Safco Dental Supply Co. from January 2011 to March 2013. In their role at Safco Dental, they were involved in sales and business development, project management for monthly sale flyers, and managing the success of the company's private label brand. Brian also had a brief stint as a Marketing Intern at Safco Dental from May 2010 to December 2010.

Lastly, Brian has entrepreneurial experience as the Co-Founder of Blue Lane Groceries, a start-up that provided a pick-up grocery service to independent grocery stores. Brian held this role from December 2007 to December 2009.

Brian Pogrund earned a B.A. in Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan in 2010. Brian later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Entrepreneurship, Operations, and Strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, completing it in 2016.
