Alyse Smith

Alyse Smith, M.Ed has over 10 years of experience in the education field. Alyse currently holds the position of Director of Exceptional Education and Services at The Kindezi Schools since August 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Principal/Program Manager at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools from June 2020 to June 2023. Alyse also served as an Instructional Support Lead at Fulton County Schools from July 2018 to May 2020. Earlier in their career, they held positions as a Specialized Content Designer/Teacher at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools and Instructional Content Designer/Teacher at KIPP Metro Atlanta from 2014 to 2018. Alyse began their teaching career at Stone Mountain Middle School as a Specialized Content Designer/Teacher from August 2013 to May 2014.

Alyse Smith, M.Ed attended Spelman College from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Alyse then went on to the UGA Mary Frances Early College of Education from 2016 to 2018, earning a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Psychology. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, including a Clearance Certificate, Middle Grades (4-8) - Science, SP ED General Curriculum (P-12) Consultative, and SP ED Science Cognitive Level (P-5, 4-8).
