James Fairclough

James Fairclough has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. James is currently serving as the Chair and Non-Executive Director at Kindred for Business since December 2022 and February 2021 respectively. Prior to this, they were the CEO of AA Cars from May 2018 to January 2023. James also held the position of Chief Sales Officer at Regus from August 2016 to April 2018. Earlier in their career, they served as a Non-Executive Director at SuperAwesome from May 2014 to January 2018.

Before joining SuperAwesome, James worked at Sky, where they held multiple roles, including Product Director, International OTT from June 2015 to June 2016, Propositions Director, Broadband and Communications Products from January 2014 to May 2015, and Interim Director of Sky Sports and Now TV from May 2013 to January 2014. James also had a brief stint as Interim Marketing Director, Sky Sports from March 2012 to July 2012.

Prior to their tenure at Sky, James was the Chief Marketing Officer at Simply Business from October 2010 to January 2012. James also gained experience as a Founding Director and Chief Commercial Officer at flutteroo.co.uk, an online start-up business, from July 2009 to October 2010.

Earlier in their career, James held the role of Director of Customer Insight at Inchcape plc from May 2007 to January 2009. James started their career at Virgin Media in November 2000 and held various roles within the consumer division. These included Director of Pricing, Proposition, and Products from July 2006 to February 2007, Director of Television and Head of TV from March 2006 to February 2007, Head of Logistics from September 2002 to October 2004, and Marketing & Commercial Manager TV Services from November 2000 to August 2002. At Virgin Media, they played a significant role in the integration of the Virgin Mobile business and the launch of the Virgin Media brand.

James Fairclough attended Whitgift School from 1986 to 1994, but did not obtain a degree or major in any specific field. James later pursued higher education at the University of Oxford from 1994 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Geography.
