Kate Pearce is an accomplished professional in community relations and social impact, currently serving as the Manager of Social Impact at Kindred Credit Union since June 2023. Prior to this role, Kate managed events and community relations at the Centre for International Governance Innovation from November 2021 to May 2023, and served as a Communications & Project Manager at WR Community Energy in a contractual position from April to November 2021. Kate's extensive experience includes significant contributions to the Waterloo Global Science Initiative, where as Community Relations Manager, Kate developed and executed the Power Shift WR campaign, significantly expanding its partnerships. Previous roles include leadership positions at the YMCAs of Cambridge & Kitchener-Waterloo and various roles at Trent University. Kate holds a Master’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from the University of Waterloo, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management from Fleming College, and a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Management from Acadia University.
