Andrew Barclay

Andrew Barclay is the Technical Director of Transmission Cables at Kinectrics, where they are responsible for the company's electrical business in Europe, specializing in high-voltage cable commissioning and testing up to 400 kV. They previously served as a Senior Test Engineer at Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions and held the position of High Voltage Engineer at BICC Cables, where they managed a high voltage laboratory. Andrew began their career as a Research Officer with CEGB, focusing on the degradation of high voltage insulation systems. They hold a B.Sc in Physics from the University of Manchester and currently contribute to the IET Short Course in High Voltage Engineering & Testing.
