Saminda Fonseka has extensive work experience in engineering and research roles.
From 2021, Saminda worked at Kinemetrics, Inc. as a Senior Test and Production Engineer. Their responsibilities included conducting initial testing on data loggers, performing design verification tasks, and conducting temperature testing.
Prior to this, Saminda worked at the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology from 2015 to 2021. In this role, they performed data logger acceptance testing, developed test procedures, and conducted qualification and acceptance testing on various data loggers. They were also involved in the development, integration, maintenance, and repair of field instrumentation for seismological experiments.
