Owen Schmidt

Owen Schmidt has a strong background in legal and compliance roles. Owen is currently serving as the Partner, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Kinetic Partners since October 2021. Prior to this, Owen worked as a Partner at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP from September 2020 to October 2021. Before that, they held the position of Partner, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Valinor Management from July 2018 to August 2020. Owen also has experience at Falcon Edge Capital, LP, where they worked as a Partner, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer from December 2013 to June 2018. Owen started their career at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP as an Associate from September 2008 to November 2013.

Owen Schmidt started their education journey in 1999 at the University of Arizona, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics and Finance. Owen successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2004. Afterward, Owen continued their education at Fordham University School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law. This academic pursuit spanned from 2005 to 2008.
