Mike Hoefer has a comprehensive work experience in web development, marketing, and strategy. Mike started their career as a Website Manager at Markem Corporation, where they improved sales lead generation and website usability. Later, they worked as a Technical Development Manager, overseeing web interfaces and strategy, and eventually became the Web Marketing Manager, responsible for daily operations and search engine strategy. Mike then joined The Hanover Insurance Group as the Director of Web Marketing, where they directed the development of public, private, and agent facing websites. After that, they served as the Director of Client Strategy at Lucidus, leading strategic planning workshops for web communication strategies. Mike then founded their own company, Hoeferweb, offering internet marketing and e-commerce project management services. Additionally, they worked as the Program Director for the Masters of Science in Information Technologies at Marlboro College Graduate School. Mike then joined SilverTech, Inc. as a Senior Account Executive, focusing on assisting Higher Ed, Health Care, and Manufacturing companies with internet marketing and strategic planning. Currently, they are the Director of Web Product & Strategy at King Arthur Baking Company, responsible for driving the strategy and vision for their customer-facing websites.
Mike Hoefer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Management from Northeastern University between 1986 and 1991. Mike later pursued a Master of Science degree in Internet Strategy Management from Marlboro College Graduate Center from 1999 to 2000. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Mountain Goat Software in 2021.
