Hilary Karasz

Hilary Karasz, PhD, serves as the Deputy Communications Director and Public Information Officer for Public Health - Seattle & King County since July 2001, specializing in media relations, strategic communications, and policy analysis. Additionally, Karasz holds the position of Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, teaching health communication and health promotion in the Online MPH program. Prior roles include contract writer and instructor at the University of Washington. Karasz earned a PhD in Communication with a focus on health from the University of Washington, an MA in Radio-Television from San Francisco State University, and a BA in History from the University of California, Berkeley.
