Joanna Mendelsohn

Joanna Mendelsohn is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in managing financial operations within the public health and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as the Business and Finance Officer for the Regional Office of Gun Violence Prevention in King County, WA, since July 2024, Joanna previously held prominent roles at the International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH), including Assistant Director of Finance and Operations for the INSIGHT Project and Budget Manager for the Zimbabwe Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision Program. Notable past positions also include Temporary Grants and Finance Manager at the University of Washington and Global Finance Manager with I-TECH, where Joanna led financial activities across multiple country offices. Joanna’s educational background includes master's degrees in German Language and Literature and an MFA from Indiana University Bloomington.
