Katie Rogers

Katie Rogers has extensive experience in communications and leadership roles, currently serving as Acting Chief of Staff and previously as Communications Director and Deputy Communications Director for King County, WA, since November 2021. Prior to this, Katie held the position of Communications Director at Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii from July 2019 to October 2021 and at Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands from December 2014 to October 2021. Additional roles include serving as a Communications Committee Member and Treasurer for the National Women's Political Caucus of Washington from January 2014 to January 2019, and working as a Senior Account Executive focusing on CSR & Sustainability at Edelman from December 2010 to December 2014. Early in the career, Katie was a Research Analyst at Waggener Edstrom and Deputy Press Secretary for Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) in the U.S. Senate. Katie began as a reporter at The Bellingham Herald in 2006. Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Western Washington University.
