McCaela Daffern

McCaela Daffern serves as the Affordable Housing Committee Manager for King County, WA, since April 2019, leading efforts to implement recommendations from the Regional Affordable Housing Task Force aimed at reducing housing cost burdens for low-income households by 2040. Prior to this role, McCaela worked as the Sustainability Manager at Capitol Hill Housing from August 2015 to April 2019, where program development focused on green building and community engagement. Additional experience includes serving as Vice President for Community Building and Development at Impact Capital, Manager of Resource Development at New Jersey Community Capital, and various positions in urban planning at organizations including Rutgers University and the City of Newark. McCaela holds an M.A. in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University and a B.A. in Environmental Planning and Policy from Western Washington University.
