Megan McJennett

Megan McJennett has extensive experience in program management and implementation within the nonprofit and public sectors, particularly focused on children and youth services. Currently serving as the Best Starts for Kids Implementation Manager at King County, WA since February 2017, McJennett oversees a $900 million tax levy supporting children from prenatal to age 24, emphasizing equity and social justice. Prior roles include managing youth programs at Southwest Youth and Family Services and directing projects aimed at early literacy at Thrive Washington. Additionally, McJennett has held leadership positions at America's Promise Alliance and the Latin American Youth Center, where innovative programs and partnerships were developed to support diverse communities. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree from Hamilton College.
