Dr. Mohamed H. Shwehdi

Dr. Mohamed H. Shwehdi is an accomplished academic and consultant in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as a Freelance Electric Power Consultant and Trainer, as well as a Professor in the Electrical Engineering department at King Faisal University since January 1999. Dr. Shwehdi's expertise encompasses power systems, electromagnetic interference (EMI) studies, and lightning protection, with a focus on application research relevant to the Saudi Arabian environment. As the Chair of the Saudi Arabian PES Chapter, Dr. Shwehdi has contributed significantly to the engineering community. Prior academic roles include a professorship at KFUPM from 1995 to 2011 and a tenure as CEO at PT Engineering Consultants & Services, Inc. Dr. Shwehdi holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Mississippi State University, alongside multiple graduate degrees in electrical engineering and social sciences from the University of Southern California.
